Wonderful news from Contra Costa County Health Department! It isn’t just our community that found the recent Lafayette Stanley Vaccine Clinic a huge success, the County considers the program a success as well.
A recent California Immunization Registry (CAIR) change in policy affects ability of small clinics to obtain vaccine doses. While the clinics have been put on pause, once supplies are available additional vaccines will be provided to Comprehensive Wellness so that we may work with our community and others to organize future vaccine clinics for vulnerable populations in the county.
In the meantime, seniors who received their first vaccine at the Lafayette Stanley Vaccine Clinic will be contacted by John Muir Health or Contra Costa County to schedule their second dose later this week.
